Mars Volta's New Album Spooked By Evil Vibes
Cult rockers The Mars Volta were haunted by dark forces during the recording of new album "The Bedlam In Goliath" - the band blames a Ouija board for causing power outages and floods.
Guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez bought frontman Cedric Bixler the Ouija board in Jerusalem, Israel shortly before the group hit the studio. And, after a series of power problems and floods, and the nervous breakdown of a recording engineer, the duo is convinced evil spirits played a part in the album's creation.
Rodriguez-Lopez says, "It felt like savagery. It didn't affect the music as much as the expression of the music."
"The Bedlam In Goliath" is released next month.
