PAPA ROACH ANNOUNCE NEW MANAGEMENT DEAL WITH TENTH STREET ENTERTAINMENT
Multi-platinum selling and Grammy® nominated rock band Papa Roach announced today that they have appointed Tenth Street Entertainment – home to Mötley Crüe, SIXX: A.M., Meat Loaf, Blondie, Buckcherry and Drowning Pool – as new management for the band.
Papa Roach pierced the recording industry with their triple-platinum major label debut album, “Infest” on Dreamworks (2000). Two years later the bleeding out of “Lovehatetragedy,” their second Dreamworks release, debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200, reaching gold status. Third time’s a charm when in 2004 the hook-heavy Geffen release, “Getting Away With Murder,” once again took the band to platinum status. Their fourth and current major label album is the razor-sharp “The Paramour Sessions” on Geffen (2006) receiving five out of five stars by Christian Hoard in Rolling Stone establishing Papa Roach as a rock force to be reckoned with.
“After meeting with several managers, we concluded that Tenth Street’s history of success in the rock genre, along with their vast internal resources, will best position us to succeed as the industry continues to evolve,” said Papa Roach front man Jacoby Shaddix. Added bassist Tobin Esperance, “We’ve watched what they’ve done recently with Buckcherry and Sixx:AM and we couldn’t help but be impressed.”
Said Tenth Street CEO, Allen Kovac, “There aren’t many bands in this current decade who will be making their 5th album and can play a full set of hits behind an established touring base. We feel fortunate to be working with them on what we believe will be the record that makes a quantum leap in their career.”
In 2001, Papa Roach saw their first Grammy® nomination for “Best New Artist,” sharing the category with R&B singer Jill Scott, Sisqó and American country artists Brad Paisley and Shelby Lynne.
The band is currently in the studio writing for their next album and will shortly begin recording.
Formed in 1993 and signed to Dreamworks Records in 1999, Papa Roach’s current line-up is Jacoby Shaddix (lead vocals), Jerry Horton (guitar, backing vocals) and Tobin Esperance (bass, backing vocals).
