Five.Bolt.Main loses three members
New heavy metal outfit Five.Bolt.Main has announced a new lineup effective immediately. Joining Five.Bolt.Main for their upcoming tour dates are three members from the popular New York City-based hard rock group Alston. They are: Kobie Jackson (guitar), Alex Cando (bass), and Ron Paige (guitar). Founding Five.Bolt.Main members Chris Volz (vocals) and Ivan Arnold (drums) remain with the band.
Jackson was the former bass player of heavy metal outfit Primer 55, and later went on to form Alston, dazzling audiences with their infectious live show. Jackson sang and played guitar with Alston, joined by Cando on bass (who also performed with Darwin's Waiting Room) and Paige on guitar. Alston will continue to open for Five.Bolt.Main and Dry Kill Logic throughout their October tour.
Departing Five.Bolt.Main for the remainder of the tour are Jason Chandler, Ben Arnold, and Aaron Weleken. The three are leaving due to "musical differences and unforeseen rigors of the road."
Five.Bolt.Main recently released Venting, the band's hard-hitting debut on Rock Ridge Music. Featuring former vocalist and songwriter Volz of the group Flaw, Five.Bolt.Main is already off to a fiery start. The first single from Venting, the powerful "Pathetic," has already made its debut on MTV 2's Headbanger's Ball. It is also being broadcast nationwide with steady spins at Active Rock radio.
"Pathetic" is now being featured on Sirius Satellite Radio's Octane (Channel 20) as well as the nationally-syndicated radio program hardDrive. In fact, hardDrive has signed on to sponsor the current Five.Bolt.Main tour as well as the Rock Ridge Music tour (also featuring Domeshots and Scars of Life) planned for early 2006.
