Biography
Powerful, eclectic, intelligent, focused & melodic: Just a few words to describe Canobliss, a progressive alternative hardrock band from San Diego, CA. Their wide repertoire of rock, metal, funk, jazz, & hip-hop influences melts into a ferociously catchy sound that sets them apart from the typical rock band. Canobliss was formed in 1997, by guitarist, Samson Pedroza and bassist, Chenzo Vidalez. After playing with several musicians, the band brought vocalist/frontman Ca$h Payne into the band in 2001. Ca$h brought a new sound and look to the band that had been missing. Jon Russo, on the guitar, and Mike Russo on the percussion rounded out the line-up in late 2003. The band has been writing, performing, and recording at a feverish pace. Canobliss began recording their sophomore effort in May '04 and completed the project in September."DEMON ANGEL" was officially released on October 5, 04. With a focus on live performance, Canobliss is one of San Diego's tightest, most entertaining and animated original bands to behold. Don't miss them on their CD promotional '04-'05 tour.
Their recent radio interviews & appearances on San Diego's ROCK 105.3 (not to mention the first band to play live on the nationally syndicated Mikee show), Tijuana's Radio Frontera 102.5, Montana's KBEAV 96.3, Phoenix's KASR 1260 and New Mexico's KCLASSIC 98.3 demonstrate their appeal to a wide and diverse audience. With many shows under their belts at high profile San Diego, L.A., San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Phoenix area clubs, such as, 'Canes, 4th&B, Brick By Brick, Blind Melons, Dream Street, Schooners, The Whisky a Go Go, Déjà Vu, Gypsy Lounge, Pier 23, I-Music Cast, Octopus Lounge, The Pound, Cheyenne Saloon, Boston's, Mason Jar and Hollywood Alley, Canobliss has built a reputation for a high energy show. Canobliss has complete several independent tours through California, Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico stirring up a frenzy with great responses to their live shows.
Canobliss has currently released their long awaited follow-up CD to "WICKED NECESSARY" entitled "DEMON ANGEL". Here on their second CD, Canobliss incorporates broader song writing from all members of the band. The collaboration has unveiled a new sound that is sure to spread and flourish.
