Biography

You have already been introduced to the music and members of Fear The
Clown But let's face it, it takes a lot more than just good musicianship to make a
band sound great LIVE!

As you can imagine, Oklahoma City is relatively small on the local music scale
compared to larger cities. But what you may not know is that Fear The Clown is not only a big part of this small scene ON stage, but OFF stage as well. The members of FTC along with a small crew consisting of five people, including Wade Waggener (Pro?Audio owner) and Tommy Thompson (Live Engineer and Pro?Audio Expert), have devoted their free time to make sure that other local bands ALWAYS have a top quality Pro Audio System to play through.

The band pulled together to purchase an explosive P.A.S. and Yorkville system that has been acclaimed to be one of Oklahoma City's largest privately owned Pro Audio Systems, in terms of total speaker size and power supply. In all, the system boasts 12 18" subwoofers 16?15" mains speakers, 4?15"monitors, a JBL custom drum monitor, and over 20,000 watts of power running through complex system of outboard Ashley equalizers and Mackie mixers that is sure to leave your ears ringing. The entire system takes about 2 hours to completely assemble, and more often than not, the band is at a venue hours before AND hours after show, setting up and tearing down the system.

The system runs on average 8?10 local shows per month (which may not seem
like much, but keep in mind that's about 90% of the local?all?ages shows put on in the
OKC area!) . FTC's system always travels with the band, but even when the band is
NOT playing on a given night, you'll still find them at the Diamond Ballroom setting up
and running sound for other local bands and small national acts.

In working together with Max Baker, the head of local music booking in Oklahoma City, Fear The Clown have toiled tirelessly to make sure that Oklahoma will ALWAYS have an underground rock scene. Their devotion and love for music, has prompted them to find ways to make Oklahoma Local Music Scene better, by ensuring the fans that love original music that they will ALWAYS have a place to go on a Friday or Saturday night. It is this work ethic and heart for their music that makes the band prime candidates for national distribution...
ON STAGE and BEHIND THE SCENES!
