Experimental music finely woven with extremely complicated heaviness will get you alot of Lye By Mistake. Not just another technical band, Lye By Mistake make an attempt whether conciously or subconciously is a question, to transcend experimental music in the way of heavy.
From their first demo it was clear this band would have to get a record deal. They are a talented bunch indeed but it's how they use that talent that makes them so damn interesting. Alot of bands are technical, many for the sake of being so, but there are those who pull more from their excellent musicianship.
Every track is ferocious and dizzying at times which are common characteristics of extreme technical music but there are some special moments thrown into the mania. Passages of oriental folk music, rodeo doodles, scottish jigs and vocal warps and distortions, melodic matrixes, and much more infest this full length, there is never a dull moment. These experimental qualities spice up an otherwise expected technical album.
"Arrangements For Fulminating Vective" is abrasive craziness at its best. Lye By Mistake know the freedom of music by using that freedom intelligently.
