How can you listen to 'Hollow' without immediately humming along? This track has hit written all over it, from its mighty hook to the impassioned vocals of frontman Donald Carpenter to the superior all-around instrumental execution, it's a track that sums up the personality and power of Submersed. But this band is no one trick pony, with 'In Due Time' sporting an entire album full of high quality material that is sure to turn the heads of fans of bands like Crossfade, Creed and Audioslave.

Submersed score another rock-solid hit with the soaring 'To Peace', a song that will have you singing right along like you've known it all of your life. The title track reaches toward stratospheric heights combining a driving tempo and smooth bridges which lead to yet another stellar chorus. This group punctuates it's fine sense of melody with appropriately powerful accents that lend a metal sensibility to many of the group's stronger cuts, although they also pay heed to the flow of the record with the inclusion of songs like 'Dripping', that highlight the band's songwriting prowess, as well as offer a glimpse into the more sensitive side of the band.

Drummer Garrett Whitlock and bassist Kelan Luker make for an impressive rhythm section, emphasizing strength and giving the rest of the band members a solid structure to build upon. 'Flicker' is yet another track that shows Submersed are keen upon dynamic qualities, bringing forth a foreboding tone within the context of a power ballad without sounding cliché or manufactured. While 'Deny Me' may sound as if it's directly from the Scott Stapp songbook, the group still manage to deliver the track with a great deal of conviction, and in these Creedless days, fans will likely enjoy hearing songcrafting of such a familiar ilk. 'You Run' highlights the skilled fretwork of guitarists Eric Friedman and TJ Davis, their smooth playing styles the perfect marriage for Carpenter's strong, tuneful vocal lines.

Submersed have come up with a near perfect record with 'In Due Time' that should virtually guarantee the band swarms of loyal fans. To pass this one up would be criminal, it's simply that good.
