Linea 77 is far from the typical Italian metal band. Usually we'll find epic power or symphonic black metal bands hailing from this land. Grandeur often comes hand in hand with overblown cheese, but at least in those cases the quality of musicianship is still very good. It's a shame that the same can't be said of Linea 77, who is making a very good case for the nonexistent "worst metal band in Italy" award with "Available for Propaganda." They have taken alternative/crossover metal to a new, never before achieved low point.
Writing more than one real riff must be way over this band's head, so instead it seems like they chose to take the same one and use it over and over, in every song, sometimes alternating the pattern or tempo a bit just to be crazy and change things up a bit. And, in a completely pointless burst of thought, the band decided to employ not one but two vocalists, who sound EXACTLY like each other (with neither possessing the ability to sing OR scream properly). Honestly, there is absolutely no reason for this band to have two vocalists, unless it is to distract from the fact that they have no songwriting ability whatsoever. And, as the rotten cherry on this sundae of garbage, the lyrics on "Available for Propaganda" are meaningless, infantile, and at times downright stupid. The only place this album belongs is in the trash can among the used condoms, spoiled fruit, and other various foul objects that people sometimes must dispose of.
